Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polishes

Nail Polish for me is like putting on lipstick or drawing in my eyebrows. It is an every day part of my beauty routine. I change them frequently and you are very unlikely to find me without.

I am a massive fan or the Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polishes and have done a little review today of my favourites.

My favourites are the Kate Moss colours 701 Jazz Funk and 712 Rhythm & Blues.
Jazz Funk Is a soft pink. Perfect for fingers. Rhythm & Blues is a dark navy blue and my go to for the Autumn/Winter months.
The polishes are long lasting and hard wearing. They have a gel like finish, chip resistant and anti-fade colour. The brushes are wider and provide an even coat of colour.
I tend to find 2 coats is more than enough on most of the colours but you may need an extra coat on the lightest colours in the range.
I use the Brit Manicure Nail Colour in 433 Ivory Tower as a base if I really want to make the colour pop.
Todays manicure is a fade of Burgundy-Red to Pink a copy of which I recently viewed on Pinterest.

The colours I chose for this look are as follows;
L-R from the 1st photo:
702 Simply Sizzling, 402 Urban Purple, Kate 701 Jazz Funk, Kate 317 Hip Hop and Kate 703 Rock N Roll.

Rimmel is my High Street choice for Nail Polish.

I would love to hear your recommendations on High Street Nail Polish

Clinique Black Honey Beauty Set

Today's post is all about this fabulously autumnal Christmas Gift Set from Clinique.
I picked this up from Boots on Tuesday for £25.
I have been looking for some Black Cherry toned products and Clinique have really come out top with this little set.
The set includes: Almost Lipstick in Black Honey 1.9 g, Superbalm Moisturising Gloss in Black Honey 7 ml, A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins in Black Honey 5 ml and High Impact Mascara in Black 3.5 ml.

The Almost Lipstick is a glossy, sheer, non-staining lip colour. This is a great look for day time and if you aren't quite ready to make the jump to berry toned lipsticks. I love how hydrating this product feels and the subtle flush of colour it gives. This has already secured a place in my ever growing handbag makeup bag.The lipstick is also a full sized product and retails on the Clinique website at £17.

The Superbalm Moisturising Gloss is a sheer lip balm with a colourful twist. I have been wearing this alone or layered over the Almost Lipstick for a smooth, glossy finish. I am not usually a big fan of glosses but I am pleasantly surprised by this particular offering. It is non sticky and is long lasting. The full sized product is 15ml for £16. Although this product cannot be purchased from Cliniques website.

The photo below is the Almost Lipstick swatched on the left and the Superbalm is swatched on the right.

The A Different Nail Enamel is glossy and long-wearing. This product has been allergy tested and safe to use for sensitive skins. The colour is a deep reddish-black. I have yet to try this product but dark nails are definitely a must for the colder months. The full sized version is £12 for 9ml.

Lastly the High Impact Mascara is a multi-benefit mascara that adds maximum volume with definition and length. I am a big fan of Clinique Mascaras and I am currently using the High Lengths Mascara. This particular version is very wearable. My lashes appear longer and are separated. I get no clumping with this product and in my opinion this Mascara provides a perfect daytime look. The full sized version is 8g at £16.50.

All in all this is the perfect little stocking filler or as in my case a happy Tuesday to me from me :)

My top Origins picks

I have recently discovered the Origins brand and their skin changing products.

If you have yet to discover this high performance skin care then the sheer amount of products can be a little overwhelming!
Here are my top recommendations....

My new favourite night cream has to be the High-Potency Night-A-Mins. This is a mineral-enriched renewal cream that I apply every PM to my face and neck. It smells very citrusy like oranges. It sinks into my skin and I have definitely noticed my skin is more supple and radiant. I have been using a 30ml sized pot since early October and I have barely made a dent.

My cleanser of choice is the Checks and Balances frothy face wash. I have been using AM and PM daily. My skin has never felt so clean as when I use this. A little really does go along way and all traces of the day are removed including Mascara.

My favourite masks are the Drink Up Intensive and Clear Improvement
The Drink up intensive is an intensive mask designed to make skin feel smoother and hydrated. I am a little in love with this mask and this is my new wonder product. The colder months usually leave my skin dry and dull but using this little beauty twice a week my skin looks and feels noticeably smoother.
Clear Improvement is an active charcoal mask designed to clear pores. I use this once a week on my forehead, nose and chin. Impurities are drawn out and my skin is left baby soft and clear. This is the best charcoal mask I have come across and has confirmed itself as a bathroom staple.

Smarty Pants CC Skin Complexion Corrector in 01 light to medium does exactly what it claims. It helps perfect the appearance of pores, minimise excess oiliness, lightly hydrates to smooth away fine, dry lines. I use this on "good skin days" either alone or as a base. It blends well and provides enough coverage without being heavy.

And finally THE product to end all products is the Super Spot Remover. Do not be put off by the little bottle. This really does go a long way. I use this on existing blemishes and if I feel a blemish lurking beneath the surface. I apply overnight and usually by the next morning they spot is disappearing or significantly reduced. Redness has gone and I can easily cover with a little makeup wizardry!
